SLFP decides not to fully abolish Executive Presidency

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has decided not to fully abolish Executive Presidency, says Social Empowerment & Welfare Minister S.B.Dissanayake.
 
Speaking at media briefing yesterday (21), the minister said that the SLFP has also decided not to support any amendments to the constitution which could harm the country’s unitary character, territorial integrity and sovereignty.
 
He further noted that the President and the SLFP has decided not to support any amendments to the constitution which require a referendum.
