NCPA media officer accused of sexual abuse of schoolboy Featured

The media and information officer of the National Child Protection Authority stands accused of having sexually abused a schoolboy from the northwestern province, according to a complaint received by the NCPA on its hotline 1929.

The complaint on October 27, also lodged with the provincial probation and childcare unit, says the incident occurred during an inter-school debate competition organized by the NCPA, ‘Sathhanda’ reports.

However, no authority has so far responded to the complaints.

An inside cover-up is alleged by the NCPA employees.

When contacted, its chairperson Natasha Balendra did not answer the phone, and subsequently she sent a message saying, “Sorry, I can’t talk right now.”
