Speed limits inside national wildlife parks Featured

A speed limit of between 20 km and 25 km has been imposed inside national wildlife parks, says the Wildlife Conservation Department.

Also, legal action will be taken against violators of the guidelines contained in the permit given to visitors to the national wildlife parks.

Recently, a jeep driver has been imposed a Rs. 35,000 fine for violating the speed limit at Yala.

The speed limit has been imposed in view of the deaths of animals and disruptions to their lives caused by vehicles.
