8,000 complaints pile up as labour officers continue strike Featured

More than 8,000 labour dispute complaints have been filed up as a result of the 17 day strike action by labour officers, says the public service labour officers association.

A further 23,000 disputes before courts have been delayed.

President of the association Iresh Chinthaka Gamage said authorities were yet to respond to their demands.

State minister Ravindra Samaraweera said their demands were unreasonable.
