The all-rounder has joined Daredevils’ camp ahead of their clash with Kings XI Punjab. Mathews was nursing a hamstring injury that ruled him out of the ODI and T20I series against Bangladesh at home. Mathews is now likely to feature in the playing XI against KXIP.
Earlier, it was suggested that Mathews will miss major part of the Indian Premier League (IPL), but has recovered sooner than expected. Mathews after arriving attended a practice session with head coach Rahul Dravid assisting him.
Also, the Daredevils will be boosted by the availability of Shreyas Iyer who was down with ChickenPox. He has been declared fit and is available for Delhi’s game against Punjab.
