Kusal Mendis remains in second place among the top Test scorers playing for Sri Lanka since the Australian Test tour in 2016.
After getting his Test cap in 2015, Mendis has scored 1441 runs in 44 Test innings, which includes 03 centuries and 05 half centuries.
In addition to Mendis, Kaushal Silva and Nuwan Pradeep too, have been dropped from the Test squad and have been replaced by Dhananjaya de Silva, Dasun Shanaka and Angelo Mathews.
The opening match of the 3-match Test tournament against India will commence on Nov. 16 at the Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata.
