Discussions were held at this meeting regarding the signing of two agreements with President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who would be contesting the upcoming elections. These centre around a government devoid of corruption and reducing unemployment. It was revealed that over 60 parliamentarians of the SLPP are poised to join the new coalition.

Three political party leaders have been appointed at this meeting to draft the constitution for this new coalition and it is expected that it would be completed within a week. Following which, an agreement is expected to be signed between all parties entering the coalition.
