Leader of the National People’s Power (NPP) and Member of Parliament Anura Kumara Dissanayake has met with Mr. Takafumi Kadono, the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Country Director for Sri Lanka, at the JVP headquarters yesterday (Aug.12).
In a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Dissanayake stated, “We discussed the ongoing development activities being carried out by the Asian Development Bank in Sri Lanka, and Mr. Kadono shared the organization’s continued readiness to provide aid to the country.”
National Executive Member of the National People’s Power (NPP), Mr. Bimal Ratnayake, was also present at the meeting.
The Colombo High Court has ordered the re-convening of the case filed by the Attorney General against Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa on September 26.
The case pertains to allegations that Rajapaksa received Rs. 70 million from the Indian company ‘Krrish’ under the pretext of promoting the game of rugby.
Rajapaksa, appeared before the court when the case was taken up today (June 27).
