Sugath Wasantha de Silva takes on Dayasiri

NPP MP Sugath Wasantha de Silva today took to task Opposition MP Dayasiri Jayasekara, who was reported to have insulted him recently.

“This MP who used to come to me in the University calling me big brother had said I can identify people only by touching them. Yes, that is our ability. This MP has showed his mindset by insulting my visual disability,” the MP said.

“One wonders whether this MP represents disabled SLFPers” he added.

“This MP has said I am talking only of the 75 year curse. Yes, I do it but I have the ability to talk about the 2,500 year history of this nation because I hold a first class degree in history,” the MP also said.
