PUCSL Chairman refutes Kanchana’s claim about him

Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) Chairman Janaka Rathnayaka has said that he will not accept any post as a national list MP from any political party.

Speaking to ‘Daily Mirror’, he had condemned the statement made by Minister of Power and Energy – Kanchana Wijesekera stated in Parliament yesterday (08).

Minister Wijesekera had claimed that the PUCSL chairman is to be sworn in as a national list MP from a certain political party.

Noting that the statement by the minister is the best example of a typical Sri Lankan politician, Mr. Rathnayaka had said, “They only work for people because they have a hidden agenda. But I work for the people with a genuine intention, which they cannot even believe.”
