EOIs called for Litro Gas, Litro Gas Terminal

The Government of Sri Lanka has called for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the divestiture of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd and Litro Gas Terminal Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.

A release from the State Owned Enterprises Restructuring Unit (SOERU) said that the government owns 99.936% equity stake in Litro Gas Lanka Limited (LGL) and 100% equity stake in Litro Gas Terminal Lanka (Pvt) Limited (LGTL).

The Ministry of Finance, (MoF) Economic Stabilization and National Policies and its State Owned Enterprises Restructuring Unit (SOERU) are issuing this expression of interest for the divestiture of its entire stake in the Company, on an ‘as-is-where-is’ basis, in accordance with the Special Guidelines on Divestiture of State-Owned Enterprises dated August 14, 2023 issued by the MoF.

This EOI has been prepared on a best-efforts basis and all information relating to the company set out in this EOI has been extracted from published sources of information.

Laugfs gas prices to remain unchanged

The price of Laugfs domestic LP gas cylinders will remain unchanged, despite price reductions made by Litro Gas PLC today (July 02), the company announced.

Accordingly, the current prices of Laugfs domestic LP gas cylinders are as follows : 

12.5 kg cylinder – Rs. 3,680
05 kg cylinder – Rs. 1,477

Earlier today, Litro Gas PLC announced their decision to slash gas prices.

Litro Gas reduces prices again

The price of Litro domestic LP gas cylinders has been reduced with effect from midnight today (July 02), Chairman of Litro Gas – Muditha Peiris has said.

Accordingly, the price of the 12.5 kg cylinder has been reduced by Rs. 100 to Rs. 3,690.

The 05 kg cylinder has been reduced by Rs. 40 to Rs. 1,482

Meanwhile, the price of the 2.3 kg cylinder has been reduced by Rs. 18, bringing the new price to Rs. 694.

Fuel prices reduced from tonight

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has reduced its fuel prices with effect from tonight.

Accordingly, a litre of Lanka Petrol 92 Octane Euro 4 (Rs. 355) has been reduce by Rs. 11, and its new retail price will be Rs. 344

A litre of Lanka Petrol 95 Octane Euro 4 (Rs. 420) has been reduce by Rs. 41, and its new retail price will be Rs. 379.

A litre of Lanka Auto Diesel (Rs.377) has been reduce by Rs.22, and its new retail price will be Rs.355.

However, there is no price change for a litre of Lanka Super Diesel 4 Star Euro 4 (Rs. 317) and a litre of Lanka Kerosene (Rs. 202).
