Earlier this year, Chandrasena, faced charges of simultaneously holding two posts at another state institution while working as the CEO of SriLankan Airlines.
On July 25, secretary of SriLankan Airlines, Dalreen Thirukumar disclosed before the Presidential Commission investigating the malpractices at the airline that Chandrasena has also held posts as the Acting CEO and a Consultant of the Mobitel, the wholly owned subsidiary of state-owned Sri Lanka Telecom.
Earlier today, SriLankan Airlines Chairman Ranjith Fernando has resigned from his post after functioning as the chairman for around 06 months.
Meanwhile, Director Board member Mano Tittawella has also resigned.
