What will happen to gold price in future? Featured

The National Gem and Jewelery Authority says that the prices of gold items might further reduce in the future.

Director General of the National Gem and Jewelery Authority Harsha Ilukpitiya said that there is no shortage of gold reserves in the country.

The country needs about 10 tons of gold a year and at present there is a surplus of gold in the country, he said.

At present the market value of a 22 carat gold pound is between 90,000 and 92,000 rupees.

Accordingly, the price of an ounce of gold (31.1034768 grams) has decreased by US $ 66 by the 23rd compared to the 21st and according to the report issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka the price of an ounce of gold (31.1034768 grams) has reduced by Rs. 9671.2317.
