Litro can take legal action if price hike not allowed

Litro Gas has written to the Consumer Affairs Authority seeking a similar price increase to Laugfs Gas.

Thushan Gunawardene, Director of CAA, told Divaina that this request would have to be granted in the next few days.

He added that if they do not grant approval, Litro is able to take legal action against the CAA.

Accordingly, a 12.5 Kg Litro gas cylinder will rise by Rs. 363 and a 5 kg cylinder will go up by Rs. 145.

Consumers say that due to the shortage of Laugfs Gas, a 12.5 Kg cylinder of Litro Gas is being sold at Rs. 1,850 now as well.
