No petrol for cans or bottles - LIOC

The Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) says petrol will only be supplied directly to the fuel tanks of vehicles.

In a notice, the LIOC said that no sale of petrol shall be allowed from LIOC sheds into cans, containers, or bottles and that this decision will be implemented with immediate effect.

The LIOC also states that the measure is taken to ensure the safety of the public and property.
