LIOC releases additional fuel stocks to the market

The Lankan Indian Oil Company says it is committed to meet the energy demand of the Sri Lankan public.
MD of the LIOC - Manoj Gupta had Tweeted, "It's been such immense contentment to urgently open the Trincomalee Terminal on a Sunday postnoon with available resources & release 23 bowzers of GasOil/Gasoline for the sheds predominantly in the Colombo region.We stand absolutely committed to fulfilling the energy needs."

Yesterday (19), Minister of Power and Energy - Kanchana Wijesekera said that they have made a special request from the Lanka Indian Oil Company to release additional stocks of petrol to the market owing to the limited stocks available with the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.

The Minister said LIOC is able to release additional petrol stocks by utilizing nearly 10,000MT of petrol currently held at the Trincomalee Terminal.
