The A330 cargo flight had arrived from Istanbul, Turkey around 9.00pm last night  and was scheduled to depart from Colombo around 11.30pm with a stock of textiles.

However, due to gale winds experienced at the BIA one of the cargo containers that had not been properly fastened with brakes, had collided with the planes engine, forcing a delay in the operations.
Sources from the BIA say that the airline is yet to take measures to repair the damage or to takeoff.
