Duty free shops at BIA relocated

All duty-free electronic shops have been relocated from the first floor to the second floor of the arrival terminal building at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), the Ports, Shipping & Aviation Ministry said.

The opening ceremony of the relocation was held under the auspices of Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva today (03).

He said the decision was taken to enhance the passenger experience at the airport.

Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd (AASL) had invested Rs. 225 mn for the relocation and a total floor area of 1,900 square meters were added. This relocation will facilitate the passengers to utilize their Duty Free Allowance for consumer electronics, they say.

No change in Laugfs gas prices

The price of Laugfs domestic LP gas cylinders will remain unchanged for the month of September.
Accordingly, the maximum retail price of a 12.5 kg domestic cylinder is Rs. 3,680 and 05 kg cylinder is Rs. 1,477.

Fuel prices slashed

Ceypetco has announced that fuel prices will be reduced with effect from midnight today (Aug. 31). 

Petrol Octane 92 reduced by Rs.12 to Rs. 332, Octane 95 reduced by Rs. 2 to Rs. 377, Auto Diesel reduced by Rs. 10 to Rs. 307, Super Diesel reduced by Rs. 3 to Rs. 352.

Meanwhile, the price of Kerosene remains unchanged.
