Consumers say that eggs are sold in the market beyond the existing control prices.
They point out that even if such a control price is set, a red egg is sold for Rs. 55 rupees and a white egg for Rs. 54 while a pack of 10 eggs is sold for between Rs. 660 – 680 at supermarkets.
They add that there is also a shortage of eggs in the market.
