Licenses of fuel filling stations that supplied fuel ignoring the QR quota system would be cancelled immediately, the Power and Energy Ministry said.
The decision was taken during a progress review meeting held with officials of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) yesterday.
The ministry says that several filling stations have not followed the QR system.
