The price of a cup of milk tea has been reduced by Rs. 10, the All-Island Restaurant Owners’ Association has announced today (March 25).
They said the decision follows the government’s decision to reduce the price of imported milk powder with effect from midnight yesterday.
However, media reports had cited the Local Milk Powder Producers Association as saying that no measures have been taken yet to reduce the price of locally produced milk powder.
