Cabinet approval has been granted to import Keeri Samba and Samba rice.
Speaking at the Cabinet briefing held today (21), Minister Bandula Gunawardena said that the measure has been taken to meet the increased demand that is anticipated to take place during the upcoming festive season.
The minister added that Cabinet approval had been granted to import 100,000MT of Keeri Samba or Samba rice.
