Light shows in Hangzhou to welcome Chinese New Year (Video) Featured

Light shows were being held in the last few days in the Hangzhou City of east China's Zhejiang Province to mark the Spring Festival.

The Spring Festival, which is also known as the Chinese Lunar New Year was celebrated today (12).

On the banks of the Qiantang River, the light shows featuring Lunar New Year have been held for several days.

Qianjiang New City, also known as Hangzhou CBD, usually holds a zodiac-themed light show during the Spring Festival every year. This year's show is held on the theme of ox to usher in the Year of the Ox.

The light show will last until the 15th day of the first month of lunar year. Three light shows are staged every night from the first to the 15th day of the Chinese Lunar New Year.

Hangzhou has launched many interesting online and offline cultural activities to encourage migrant workers to spend the Spring Festival in the cities where they work. Performances in the Hangzhou Grand Theater will also be online to meet people's spiritual and cultural needs.
