Veteran actress Hyacinth Wijerathne dies after van falls down a precipice Featured

Veteran actress Hyacinth Wijerathne was killed when the van she was travelling fell down a precipice at Lindula, Thalawakele last night, police spokesman senior DIG Ajith Rohana said. She was 75 years old.

The accident occurred last night when she was returning to Colombo after taking part in a teledrama shooting in Nuwara Eliya.

Police suspect the negligence of the driver has caused the accident and he has been arrested by the Lindula police.
