Issue with procuring tele-drama!

It is said that the telecasting of a play rejected by the Rupavahini Drama Board by its Director General and Chairman Sonala Gunawardena has led to the resignation of the DG.

It is reported that the Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media and Information had received a complaint that the duo had received bribes to get these plays.
Meanwhile, its Chairman Sonala Gunawardena has been accused of handing over the YouTube channel of the Rupavahini to IdeaHell, the digital operator of TV Derana, a parallel private television channel.

It is reported that investigations are being conducted regarding this issue.
