Three books by veteran writer and poet Ajantha Seneviratne will be ceremonially launched this Thursday (Feb. 27).

The books, published by Sarasavi Publishers, include a Sinhala poetry collection titled “Asammathaya Asammatiya,” an English poetry collection named “Naked Peak,” and an English short story collection called “See-Through Hearts.”

The event will begin at 3 PM at the Swami Vivekananda Indian Cultural Centre on Gregory Road, Colombo 07.

Professor Ankuran Dutta, director of the center, and Dr. Ratnasri Wijesinghe, chairman of the National Library and Documentation Services Board, will be the chief guests at the event.

“See-Through Hearts” contains ten short stories that explore the social experiences of a fictional character, providing a profound insight into the sensitive hearts of people in our society. Professor Praneeth Wijesundara will review this collection during the event. Dr. W. A. Abeysinghe is set to review the English poems in “Naked Peak.” The poems in “Asammathaya Asammatiya” will be discussed by esteemed literary figures Thilakaratne Kuruwitabandara, Kularatne Ariyawansa, Bandula Nanayakkarawasam, and Buddhadasa Galappathti.

Ajantha Seneviratne has authored over 25 books across various genres, including novels, short stories, poetry, and investigations.

His first internationally recognized English work, “Father For A Buddha,” tells the story of King Suddhodana and is available on prominent international websites, both as a print book and as an e-book.

He also translated the world-famous book “Who Moved My Cheese” into Sinhala, titled “Divi Maga Dinana Maga,” which has been translated into about 34 languages worldwide.

His recent Sinhala publication, “Attaining Nibbana Through Artificial Intelligence,” offers insightful commentary on the intersection of artificial intelligence and Buddhism.
