Colombo Additional Magistrate T.N.L.Ilangasinghe ordered filmmaker Vishvanath Buddhika Keerthisena also known as Boodee Keerthisena to appear in the court on September 22 for not paying nearly Rs.6.5 million in income tax.
The Magistrate made the order in relation to the case B 24822/09 filed by the Inland Revenue Department in the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
The Inland Revenue Department filed the case against Mr.Keerthisena of No. 185, Havelock Road, Colombo 05 for non-payment of income tax amounting to Rs. 64,93,277 due for the year 2019 for a building located at Havelock Road.
