Veteran actor Jackson Anthony has passed away at the age of 65.
Mr. Anthony was receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital for about 14 months following a car accident.
Conganige Joseph Malsi Jackson Anthony commonly known as Jackson Anthony was an actor in the film industry, theatre as well as in teledramas.
He was born on July 8, 1958.
One of Sri Lanka’s most popular artistes, Anthony won the Best Actor award a record 16 times.
Anthony, an actor who transcended all three fields of film, theatre and teledramas, has also shown outstanding performance as a director, producer, singer, screenwriter, television host, novelist, columnist, lyricist and historian.
