A tragic fire at a fuel station in the Wehera area of Kurunegala, has led to the deaths of 04 persons, including the manager of the facility.
The fire was triggered by an explosion of a gas tank at the fuel station.
The blaze, which had triggered around 11:30 pm yesterday (April 07), was brought under control early this morning after significant efforts.
Municipal workers were also able to safely secure the second gas tank, which helped prevent further destruction.
Six fire engines were deployed to douse the flames.
Kurunegala Police are conducting further investigations.
