Arundika, Niroshan, Piyal creates havoc at NMC ! Featured

MP Arundika Fernando and several others had stormed the National Media Centre (NMC) currently under the Presidential Media division head Dharmasri Ekanayake, subsequent to the Prime Ministerial change, and created havoc threatening the employees.

MPs Piyal Nishantha and Niroshan Premarathne together with Sudharman Radaliyagoda had also joined in.

According to the Joint Opposition MPs the National Media Centre which was functioning at Visumpaya, had engaged in a mudslinging campaign against Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Place of Ranil’s mudslinging operation - Arundika

Arundika Fernando said that this facility had been entirely used for Ranil’s mudslinging campaign. He said Mangala Samaraweera and a team had launched mudslinging campaigns from this institution.
He said until yesterday, this centre was slinging mud at Mahinda Rajapaksa.

False evidence for the FCID was made here - Niroshan

Niroshan Premaratne alleged that the false evidence for the FCID had been made at this facility.

However, when Sri Lanka Mirror made inquiries it was revealed that this centre had initially operated under the Prime Minister’s Office and later it was taken under the President’s Office.

After the change in Premiership, the NMC’s former head Imthiyaz Bakeer Marker was ousted from the post and Presidential Media Division head Dharmasri Ekanayake was appointed in his place.
It was also revealed that Dharmasri Ekanayake had been a member of its governing council from its inception.
