A group of 116 former Provincial Council members from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna & the United National Party have pledged their commitment to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s victory in the upcoming presidential election, the Presidential Media Division notes.
Yesterday, 92 Members of Parliament (MPs) met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe this evening (30) and pledged their unconditional support for his victory in the upcoming presidential election.
They asserted that only President Wickremesinghe can build a stable and prosperous country with social and political stability and economic development, free from severe crises and queues. Consequently, they set aside their personal politics to make this decision for the country’s benefit.
