Meanwhile, the possibility of contesting under a common logo had been discussed at the SLFP Central Committee meeting held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (08).
Addressing the media after the meeting, the SLFP General Secretary Professor Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa said that they intend to forge forward as a new coalition with the SLPP.
He further noted that the SLPP would not pose a challenge to the SLFP and the two parties would form a coalition and work together in all future activities.
