1,289 naval personnel, who were Absent Without Leave (AWL), legally discharged during the General Amnesty period declared from April 20 – May 20.
This General Amnesty was applicable only for sailors (except all Artificers, Professional Medical and Professional Dental sailors) who have been absent without leave, to obtain official discharge.
Accordingly, 1254 naval personnel who were absent without leave and additional 35 naval personnel who are currently overseas and AWL, were officially discharged during this General Amnesty period.
