The Election Commission (EC) has announced that 13,421 polling stations will be established nationwide for the 2024 General Election, to accommodate 17,430,354 registered voters.
The EC has also stated that 1,204 polling stations will be established in Colombo District to accommodate 1,765,351 registered voters. The Gampaha District will have 1,212 polling stations for its 1,881,129 voters, while the Kalutara District will see 735 polling stations for 1,024,240 voters.
Meanwhile, 108 polling stations for 90,607 individuals will be established in Mannar district, which has the lowest number of registered voters.
