In an emergency debate held in Parliament on Wednesday (April 24) on several suicide bombings across Sri Lanka, Wimal Weerawansa said that such Madrasa schools are being pumped huge sum of money from Arabic countries and a group of politicians are behind such projects.
He said that there is a very dangerous form of Islamic extremism is present in the country and that having different laws for different ethnic groups should be stopped immediately.
He also pointed out the need of implementing one law all communities in the country.
MP Wimal Weerawansa noted that the common Muslims in Sri Lanka do not need this extremism and that Muslim politicians have imposed extremism on them.
Weerawansa further said that all measures should be taken to defeat this extremism and his faction extend fullest support for it.
