This was revealed to court citing reasons for his failure to be present in court when then the case pertaining to the D.A. Rajapaksa memorial Museum case was taken up on June 02nd.
Through a motion on June 3rd Attorney Ali Sabri presented to court the medical report issued by a Singapore hospital.
He had also made a request to have the medical report placed in a safe under the custody of the Registrar. The court granted permission for this request.
The former Defence Secretary had sought court permission on May 24th to travel to Singapore until June 02nd to seek medical treatment.
However, while the case is scheduled to be taken up for hearing from June 19th Attorney Ali Sabri had appealed to court that hearing without the defendant, be suspended.
However, court approval for this request was not given on that date and the court is scheduled to decide on whether or not the hearings will continue without the defendant at the next court date.
