Proposal to abolish Executive Presidency was President's - PM Featured

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has revealed that the President had asked him whether they should speak at the Cabinet Meeting regarding the abolition of the Executive Presidency.

The Prime Minister said this at a ceremony held yesterday (21st) to lay the foundation stone for the construction of Don Steven College in Mirigama.

The Prime Minister said that he had agreed to the President's proposal as he had not discussed with other parties about the abolition of the Executive Presidency and accordingly the President summoned the Cabinet yesterday (19 September)

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe further expressed following views.
