2020 President in trouble Featured

It is reported that irrespective of the presidential candidate who wins the forthcoming presidential election, the resolution on Sri Lanka will be taken up at the Geneva Human Rights Commission next March.
It is reported that the appointment of Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva as the Army Commander will be given special attention.

The main presidential candidates, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Sajith Premadasa, had earlier stated that the appointment was an internal political decision of Sri Lanka and they are not planning to change it.

However, it is reported that western countries are angry about the said  statements.

Meanwhile, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa recently told the diplomatic community that the Geneva resolution should be reconsidered.
