Several UNP ministers yesterday also resigned from their ministerial portfolios in wake of the victory of Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the presidential election held yesterday.  

State Minister Ashok Abeysinghe resigns

Transport and Civil Aviation State Minister Ashok Abeysinghe has also tendered his resignation effect from today, the Transport Ministry said.
