Japanese travel agents visit Sri Lanka

Twenty-five member Japanese Travel Agents and Tour Operators are now in Sri Lanka on a familiarization visit to witness the current situation in the country especially after Easter Sunday attack.

The Programme is jointly organized by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau and Sri Lanka Embassy in Tokyo. Five-day tour in Sri Lanka includes field visits and meetings with industry experts.

This will allow themselves to experience the peaceful situation in the country and to encourage Japanese travelers to visit Sri Lanka, upon their return.

One of the important highlights of this visit is, Japanese visitors themselves paid their own international air tickets to attend this programme in Sri Lanka, which reflects their keenness to re-engage in promoting Sri Lanka as a destination for Japanese travelers.
