2 senior Army officers under probe over Thajudeen killing Featured

The CID is investigating two senior military officers who had been members of the Presidential Security Division at the time ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen was murdered.

The state counsel informed the Colombo magistrate’s court about this investigation, but refrained from naming the two suspects.

The telephone calls they had received as well as the telephone calls given by former DIG Anura Senanayake to the President’s House on the day of the killing are under investigation as well.

After considering the submissions, the court ordered the CID to submit a progress report on February 16.

Suspects in the case, Senanayake and former crimes OIC of Narahenpita police Sumith Perera, have been remanded further.
