Kapruka accused of ripping off customers Featured

Kapruka.com, a pioneer in Sri Lanka's e-commerce services, has been severely criticised for ripping off customers who have been placing delivery orders in a backdrop where Covid-19 fears have gripped the society.

Angry customers have been complaining of being charged exorbitant prices and have been slamming the company of such unethical practices in a backdrop where many people feel helpless due to the Covid19 epidemic.

According to the prices of the website, a milk powder packet with a market price of Rs. 380 is sold at Rs. 560 and 'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns that this has been continuing for quite a while.

The following are several critical posts on Facebook.

Kapruka.com was founded in 2002 entrepreneur Dulith Herath.

Dulith, an old Royalist, is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and also is the chairman of Java Lounge - a leading chain of coffee houses in Colombo.
