Curfew to continue in several areas until further notice, two villages isolated Featured

The curfew currently in force in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna districts will continue until further notice, President’s Media Division announced.

The curfew in all other districts will be lifted at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30 and will be re-imposed at 2:00 p.m. on the same day.

Travel between the districts for purposes other than essential services is completely prohibited.

The law will be strictly enforced against those who misuse the methods used to maintain essential services efficiently during the curfew.

The government is urging the public to follow the instructions and procedures with responsibility since the measures that have been taken to stop the spread of coronavirus are purely for the benefit of the people.

Atulugama in the Kalutara district and Akurana in the Kandy district have been named as completely isolated areas. No one is allowed to enter or leave these two villages.
