The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says the water supply to many areas of Colombo will be suspended for a period of 18 hours from 10pm tonight till 4pm tomorrow.
The water cut will be in effect in Colombo 01, 02, 03, 04, 07, 09, 10 and 11.
The water cut was attributed to urgent maintenance of the water pipeline system that supplies water to the Maligakanda reservoir.
