Fonseka's security ends up on the roads? Featured

The Urban Development Authority (UDA) has reportedly urged Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka to return the plot of land next to his home at Kirimandala Mawatha in Nawala, which he had acquired on a temporary lease.

It is said that the land was used as a resting place by his bodyguards and parking space for his convoy vehicles.

In this backdrop, there will be no place to do so, once the UDA re-acquires the land.

Following the end of the war, the government had granted three plots of land from Kirimandala Mawatha to the then tri force commanders.

However, Mr. Fonseka's land had been re-acquired by the then government, soon after.

The land was handed back to Fonseka once the good governance government swept into power and Fonseka had subsequently built a house there.
