The Deshaya newspaper has reported that the said mediators have already met the Tamil National Alliance leader R. Sampanthan and other party leaders including C.V. Vigneswaran and Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam .

However, the leader of  Eelam People's Democratic Party (EPDP), Minister Douglas Devananda, has refused to join this alliance.

It is further reported that the conveners of the organization have stated that they will take necessary steps to take this organization forward along with other party leaders.
