It is said that the three-storey building in question remains closed down at the moment and is at the risk of collapsing.
Notice has been issued to demolish the building it is yet to happen.
It is said that over 750 school girls from Grades 1-13 are being taught at the school and the students as well as teachers are compelled to enter the school everyday by crossing through this building.
Although there is an alternate route, it is a private road and residents have opposed the use of it.
It is also reported that the school had lost a part of the premises including the front wall, when the Ambatale - Orugodawatta road was widened. However, no compensation has been paid.
Also, a contractor has been tasked with building a guardroom and the wall. However, the guardroom has been build in an substandard manner, even without a roof.
Attempts to contact the school principal for further information, were unsuccessful.
