2 arrested over Midigama shooting

Two suspects have been arrested over the shooting incident at Midigama, where a person was killed and two others injured.

Police said the assailants arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at the stall. 

The 38-year-old owner had succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital. Two others were injured.

The STF arrested two persons yesterday in possession of 11.5 grams of heroin along with a three-wheeler in the Midigama area.

It was revealed that one had provided accommodation to the gunmen while the other had provided transport to the gunmen following the shooting.

The arrested suspects, aged 30 and 38  are identified as residents of the Kotte and Agulugaha areas.
