Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana has informed the House that approval has been granted at the meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business held on December 12, 2023, for the establishment of the two Parliamentary Caucuses.
Accordingly, the “Caucus of Medical Parliamentarians Sri Lanka” is to be established on the request made by Prof. Tissa Vitharana and other 09 MPs.
In addition, the establishment of a “Climate Parliament of Sri Lanka”, on the request made by Eran Wickramaratne and other 21 MPs have been approved.
