The Court ordered the police yesterday (04) to immediately forward the mobile phones and laptops used by the close associates of Janashakthi Group of companies Director Dinesh Schaffter to the government analyst.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Prasanna Alwis allowed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to send 20 items of deceased Schaffter’s close friends, including Brian Thomas’s mobile phone and laptop, to the government analyst to obtain a report.
In relation to this incident, the CID presented facts to the court through a motion and submitted the case materials.
The court has also appointed a five-member expert committee to find the cause of the death of Mr. Schaffter and its report has not yet been received.
